Chelsea Careworks

Chelsea CareWorks runs a number of programs that focus on assisting people who suffer with poverty, disability and attendant isolation. Programs vary according to needs, resources and opportunities and include:

  • A free community breakfast Wednesday mornings
  • Men’s Shed – There are three sessions per week for people with a disability and two ‘general public’ sessions a week that provide integration for people with disabilities into the community.
  • Counselling and Support
  • Computer skills program for people with a disability or age related isolation
  • A men’s support group primarily for those with a disability
  • A parenting group
  • Men’s Health Seminars
  • LETS (Local Energy Trading System) – A group to promote people towards engaging or re-entering the community.
  • ‘WAGS’ – A social integration games group for elderly isolated people.
